Johan Zwarts completed his training contract with Deloitte & Touche in 1992 and founded the firm in the same year.
Johan has consulted for various Anglo American Companies on accounting, taxation and financial management matters. Johan served on the board of directors of two JSE listed entities, is a trustee on numerous trusts and has served on the audit committee of various public interest companies.
One of his specialties is tax structuring and his instinctive ability to identify and solve problems is unmatched. His vast knowledge and years of experience means he is perfectly positioned to provide your business with the expertise and advice to survive in today’s tough economy.

B. Com (Hons) Professional Accountant (SA)
Dries Britz joined Johan Zwarts in 1993 as one of the founding members of the firm. He gained experience at a Merchant Bank and the South African Revenue Service before joining the firm. With over 29 years of experience, he has gained a specific skillset of understanding the needs of his clients and his hands on approach means that he keeps a close working relationship, helping them to achieve their business goals.
Dries specializes in providing a full financial director function to businesses and make sure all companies are fully compliant. Since he, is an optimist he is always inclined to assist companies and help them grow their business by finding suitable solutions.
His considerate and compassionate nature is what drives him to lead charitable causes and social events in both for the firm and his personal capacity.

Ferdi Wiggins completed his training contract with the firm in 2007 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) and Registered Auditor in the same year. He rapidly and successfully worked his way to audit partner, and has gained a wealth of experience in servicing the SMME and owner-managed market.
Ferdi has also served as a non-executive director of a JSE listed entity. Ferdi’s solution-orientated and forward thinking approach means he is always finding ways to optimise for growth. Ferdi has a deep desire to empower young professionals and to see people succeed in business and in life.

CA (SA)
Ryno van Zyl started at JZA’s Edenvale branch in 2013 as a junior trainee accountant and ultimately qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He has accumulated valuable audit experience over a variety of industries and sizes and is currently registered as a Candidate Auditor with IRBA.
In addition to managing audit engagements, he specialises in business valuations and assists in offering a wide range of services ranging from compilation of full IFRS financials for subsidiaries of JSE listed entities to tax and accounting advisory.
Ryno has a great deal of respect for others, based on his concern for them and his commitment to ideal standards. He likes to make sure that people can utilize their skills to be more effective in their job. Ryno is excellent in breaking down problems and following a set sequence of logical steps for the long term solution. Others may tend to seek him out for assistance or advice.

B. Com Professional Accountant (SA)
FC completed his training contract with Price Waterhouse Coopers in 1995. FC has over 20 years’ experience in auditing, accounting and taxation services. Before joining the firm, FC worked as financial manager in the wholesale industry and accountant with a Professional Accounting Firm.
FC together with Johan Zwarts opened the Centurion Office in March 1999 and he has been instrumental in growing the office. FC has vast experience in several financial fields and has a personal approach to serving clients and building long term relationships with them.

B. Com Professional Accountant (SA)
Jan-Dri Olivier joined the firm in 2007 as a trainee accountant, currently with 15 years’ experience. He rapidly and successfully worked his way to audit manager, and has gained a wealth of experience, servicing mainly small to medium-sized entities, across a range of auditing, taxation, accounting and business management issues. His approachable style makes it easy to work with him.

AGA (SA)
Chantelle joined the firm in 2013 as a SAICA trainee after completing her Accounting degree at the University of Pretoria.
After completing her articles, she qualified as an Associate General Accountant and fulfils the role of an audit manager at our Edenvale office.
She is detail orientated and has extensive experience of compiling annual financial statements and is currently studying towards her CIMA qualification. Chantelle is a hard worker and extremely efficient at her work.

CA (SA)
Heila worked as an administrator for 5 years before joining the firm in 2016 as a SAICA article clerk while studying part time.
After completing her articles she worked her way to audit manager and is currently working towards ultimately registering as an Auditor. She has gained experience in audit, accounting, and taxation in various industries during her time at the firm.
Heila is meticulous in her work and holds herself to high standards that reflect in her work. Heila is always friendly and eager to lend a helping hand and to find solutions to difficult problems.

Accounting Manager
Driekie has 16 years extensive experience in accounting services, including VAT, Payroll services. She has experience in management accounts, compiling and reviewing of financial statements. She manages the accounting department and is excellent in maintaining good client relationships.

B Compt Acc
Carmen is our Xero expert. She holds a BCompt Accounting degree and is a Certified Xero advisor, Xero Migration advisor with 6 years’ experience in accounting services, including VAT, Payroll services. She loves Xero and specialises in the implementation and conversions to Xero accounting.

Tax Manager
Mariaan worked at SARS for 16 years dealing with Individuals and Company’s assessments and audits. Thereafter she joined JZA in 2002 where she was able to apply her knowledge and skills to assist the firm with all their tax matters.

Taxation
In 1981 Petro started her taxation career at SARS as a registration clerk. Over the years she worked her way up to manager of the registration department, dealing with matters such as objections, summons, IT14’s, IT12’s and various other tax related matters.
In 2002 she joined JZA as a tax administrator where she has used her experience and knowledge to assist the firm with all their tax matters.

Audit Senior
Dawie plays an important role in our audit team. Serving as the go-to person for our Nigel branch, Dawie spearheads numerous audits with his extensive expertise. His contribution ensures not only the highest work standards but also prompt client service. He readily assists clients with tax queries about potential tax benefits, tailoring solutions to individual circumstances and the diverse demands of various industries and business sizes.
Dawie stands out as a results-driven senior clerk who is dedicated to excellence. He tirelessly dedicates himself to honing his skills, all with the goal of achieving the esteemed status of a chartered accountant. Dawie consistently achieves remarkable milestones, underpinned by his exceptional work ethic.
Flourishing in collaborative team environments, Dawie integrates effective communication, adept social interactions, and natural leadership into his skill set, offering high-quality work that consistently exceeds expectations.

Accountant and Xero advisor
Charlene is an accomplished Accountant with over five years of industry experience. Proficient in the use of Xero accounting software, she’s a driving force behind optimised financial processes, including VAT and payroll services. Her adeptness goes beyond numbers; she also shines in mentoring and training new staff and helps them understand complex concepts.
Known for her exceptional attention to detail, Charlene ensures flawless records—a quality that earns her colleagues’ trust. Yet, her talents aren’t confined to numbers; she also excels at client-relations. Her ability to connect effortlessly with clients both on a professional and personal level, makes them feel heard, understood, and valued. Charlene is also committed to ongoing learning as is working hard to complete her studies.

Creditors and Admin department
After completing his BAccounting Honours at the University of Stellenbosch, Delano completed two years of his SAICA articles at one of the “big four” auditing firms. He then joined JZA to complete his traineeship. Working at a smaller firm gave him the opportunity to practice and obtain a wide array of accounting, tax, and auditing skills.
After completing his training, he shifted from the role of audit clerk to focus more on internal work for JZA and is now an accountant for JZA’s various internal companies.
He has been part of the JZA team since 2014, making him a loyal team member. He also embodies the culture of our firm by constantly challenging himself to become more efficient in every task, especially by making effective use of technology.

Office Coordinator and Debtors Controller
As the Office Coordinator and Debtors Controller, Chenay is an integral part of our team. Her dedication to her work is evident through her meticulous organisation skills and efficient management of office processes. She also has a strong educational background in psychology and labour relations, which brings a unique perspective to both the operational and financial aspects of our organisation.
Beyond her professional capabilities, Chenay’s true passion lies in supporting her colleagues. Her friendly and positive demeanour creates a welcoming environment for everyone She goes above and beyond to create a sense of unity within the team, fostering strong relationships and promoting a positive work culture.
