The Information Regulator’s PAIA Annual Report submission window is scheduled to open on 1 April 2026 and close on 30 June 2026. Please note that submission is required even if your organisation received no PAIA requests during the reporting period between 1 April 2025 – 31 March 2026 (a “nil return” is submitted by entering “0” where applicable).
Important: The Information Regulator requires that the relevant officers (Information Officer / Head of Private Body and any Deputy Information Officer, where applicable) are registered on its portal before an Annual Report can be submitted. If you would like us to assist with registration/updating of officer details, please let us know.
To ensure we can submit on time once the portal opens, please action the following:
1. If your entity already has a PAIA Manual
- Send us a copy of your current PAIA Manual.
- Please also sign the Authorisation Mandate (check your downloads folder) on your entity’s letterhead, which allows us to submit the PAIA Annual Report on your behalf once the portal opens.
- Submission fee: R950.00 excluding VAT per entity.
- If any amendments are required to the PAIA Manual (e.g., changes to the Information Officer or Deputy Information Officer), the cost for amendments will be R250.00 excl. VAT.
Take note: Regardless of whether your entity has a PAIA Manual or not, please complete the PAIA Submission Questionnaire (check your downloads folder), as this information is required for the submission of the PAIA Annual Report.
Please send all completed documents and PAIA-related requests to the following persons so that we can proceed with the submission once the portal opens:
2. If your entity does NOT have a PAIA Manual
- Please notify us via email.
- We will then send you the required information as well as a quote for the preparation of the PAIA Manual.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
